Flipbook is built to keep your notes on your device. This page explains, in plain language, what that means.
What we collect
Nothing. We don't have a server. There's no account, no sign-up, no email collected, no usage analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies for advertising.
Where your notes live
Your notebooks, drawings, and sticky notes are stored locally on your device — in your browser's IndexedDB storage (on the web version) or the app's private storage (on Android). They never leave your device.
What leaves your device
The only external request Flipbook makes is to Google Fonts, to download the typefaces used for headings and text (Lora, Inter, and JetBrains Mono). Google Fonts is cached after the first load, so the app works completely offline after the first visit.
If you'd rather avoid even that, you can host your own copy of the app with self-hosted fonts. Nothing in the app prevents that.
Exports and backups
You can export your entire library as a single
.flipbook file at any time. That file is downloaded
directly to your device — we never see it.
If you share an export with someone (via email, cloud storage, etc.), that file leaves your control. Treat it like any other personal file.
Clearing your data
Your notes are tied to your browser or app installation. If you clear your browser data, uninstall the app, or reset your device, your notes are gone. Export regularly if you want a backup.
Children
Flipbook is safe for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this page
If this page changes, the "last updated" date at the top will change too. Since Flipbook collects no data, there's nothing to notify you about.
